Last Letter Home!

June 27, 2016

Dear Family,

What an amazing experience this past two years has been for me and even more so because of the people I have come into contact with these past two years. I can’t believe that it is over. But only this stage is over. I like to relate how I feel to the feeling of baptism. Baptism is the gate by which we enter into the straight and narrow way. Coming home from a mission or the LTC (Life Training Center) as we like to call it, is like entering into a new way of life. With those things I will be bringing home 3 big things with me. Number 1. And most important is my testimony of God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ, along with my Testimony and knowledge of the Restoration of the Gospel through prophets like Joseph Smith.  2. My ability to listen to the still small voice and follow Promptings. 3. My ability that I have of Setting Goals and Making Plans. I Can't wait to develop these gifts right alongside y'all. I hope y'all will continue to hold me accountable to those things. I have given the Lord my all for two years and more. In closing I would like to share a few scriptures.

6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
(2 Timothy 4)

Thou hast been faithful; wherefore, thy garments shall be made clean. And because thou hast seen thy weakness thou shalt be made strong, even unto the sitting down in the place which I have prepared in the mansions of my Father.
(Ether 12:37)

I Love Each of You So Much,

June 20, 2016

Hello Family sorry for the late reply went on a tour of a horse breeder Ranch so that was really Awesome. I'll tell y'all about it next week when I get to see y'all.

Tuesday - Was Awesome. We did service at the Homeless shelter again. It was truly an awesome experience. After that we had a couple of potentials to stop by and to help. After that we went and saw a couple of more people. We had an appointment that night with a LA guy who has struggles with Joseph Smith. The appointment went really good. Got him to read the Book of Mormon.

Wednesday - We had Zone Council. I gave a training on being Bold. Which is funny cause everyone thinks I am bold but I just call it how it is. So hate, love, whatever but that's how I roll. But just having a conviction of what you know is true is what makes you want to be bold so that is awesome. After that we had a few things we had to get done but after that we had an appointment with Brother Wadsworth. Who is doing okay but not as good as I would like. After that we had a lesson with Brother Kraus. Which was really really good.

Thursday - Was weekly planning which went really well. I got really really sick on Thursday. Now I just have a stuffy nose and sneeze but that will go, I am sure, by the end of the week.

Friday - Friday was like trying to find people to teach and to talk to all afternoon but we found no body. That evening we met with Stephanie, an Investigator, they are doing really awesome things. Came to church. After that we had a lesson with the Pakbin family and so that was really really nice

Saturday - We had a fireside for seminary that we spoke at and how seminary has blessed our lives. After that I had to print my final letter to President Ames and stuff which was good. Oh by the way I got accepted to school so that is really nice as well. After that we just had a few stop bys. That night we had a meeting with our baptismal kids. Which was awesome they look like they will pan out for this weekend which will be really awesome.

Sunday - We had church. Stephianie was the only one that came so that was okay but it was really good. That was my week. Well family time to go HAM I hope that I will be so tired when I see y'all on Thursday cause that means I gave it my all!!!

Love y'all,

June 13, 2016

Hello Family,

Things have been really great here this week. A lot has gone on here this past week which was really really good.

Tuesday - We had Zone Conference. It was my last Zone Conference along with President and Sister Ames so it was a really bitter sweet zone conference. I bore my departing testimony which was really awesome. I have felt like I have grown so much since being here so that is really awesome. After the whole Zone Conference, we went into the chapel and President and Sister Ames said their last goodbyes to the whole mission which was really good cause everyone is going to miss them. After President Ames talked he gave all the Elders a hug which was really awesome. After me and him got to sit down together and have a temple recommend interview cause my recommend had expired. Defiantly the best meeting I have been to on my mission.

Wednesday - We had UGM which was really good. We then went on an Exchange with the 6th Elders which was good. I went with Elder Boekweg and we talked about Zone Conference for like the whole exchange and how it has changed us a lot and how the mission has changed us. We taught 3 people that day it was awesome.  We placed 3 Books of Mormon and it was awesome. We taught this guy who asked us to come back this week. He was super hard hearted and it was a really tuff lesson to teach.

Thursday - We had been blessed with the opportunity to go and give a blessing to a girl that was in a hospital for a really rare surgery only happened in about 5 places. One was in Texas. They were from Smithfield, UT which was really cool to see some of the native folks. After that we contacted some referrals that we had gotten. Which was really awesome. Then we went and did Weekly Planning. I checked up on School as well. I still think everything is good to go for school so that should be all good. That night I sold my bike to a Member in the Ward we have been working with. He bought it for $160 dollars, which is awesome, so that is nice. We also taught him about coming to church and so that was awesome.

Friday- We had a lot of finding which was really hard cause it was super hot out there so it was hard we busted our bums out there.

Saturday - was like an exact ditto do Friday. Not a whole lot went on there ether so we hope this Saturday will be a lot better.

Sunday was great. We had a lesson with The boys who are being baptized on the 25th of this month. Which was awesome. They were at church along with our other investigator named Steph. She is awesome and she is a great person and loves her kids and wants the best for them. It was a great day. Then we took the Kraus family to the Mission Presidents Fireside, the very last one, it was super powerful. I got to see Elder Peterson so that is great and was able to introduce the Kraus’s to him. It was awesome.

Well Family that is my week. Hope all is going well in your neck of the world and it sounds like things are so that is awesome. Keep it up. See you soon.

Love you,

A Testimony Of Prayer!

Fast and Furious to the finish line!

June 6, 2016

Hello Family sounds like y'all had an amazing week, Me as well. I wanted to start off with an experience that has really built my testimony of prayer.  Well this week has been a really good week. We had a lot of opportunities to find people to teach. When me and Elder Crowther went out we decided that potential investigators where the route we should take. As you probably know missionaries have this thing called an area book. Here in Fort Worth 8th it is huge, filled with lists of people who are not here or whose phone numbers are bad. So we have taken it as our job to separate the Wheat from the Tears so to speak.

So we went and visited this potential and this man happened to not live there. So Wesley (the current resident) engaged us in a gospel conversation. As we talked about his beliefs and shared the ones of ours that were similar, my heart began to swell as I prayed for me and Elder Crowthers words and testimonies to fill this man’s heart. As our  conversation came to an end. My companion and I testified boldly of the power of the Priesthood and of Eternal families and invited him to hear more. Wesley than responded with a really bold "NO THANK YOU". With a bit of disappointment on our faces and after exchanging farewells, we started our walk back to our car. On that walk I thought wow I wondered if God had heard the silent prayer of my heart. Then suddenly a knock came at the window. It was Wesley. He said "Y'all said y'all wanted to come back" I responded "Yes sir" he said "Come on by Tuesday @ 6pm". Me being so excited responded yes, forgetting that we had Zone Conference that day. After my heart swelled for the testimony I received that day of the power of Prayer. God answers prayers and listens to our needs.

Pretty awesome experience. I would say. As y'all know this week is Zone Conference. This will be the last one of my mission. I am so excited to be able to learn from President Ames. I love him, I know that me and him will be good friends after the mission. I want y'all to know that I love y'all so much and I am so grateful for y'alls support and for y’alls love here on my mission. Means so much. Y'all have an amazing week.

With All my Love,

Elder Justin C. Lee
